EB-5, the fifth type of Employment-Based visas, is a program launched by the United States in 1990 to boost employment opportunities and stimulate the economy through foreign investment. Unlike other types of visas, the program allows foreign investors who have contributed to the creation of employment as financial partners for a certain period of time (5 years) in a newly established business in America, to obtain a permanent residence permit (green card).
A green card application process begins when your partnership begins with an approved project. Those who initiate green card application with the investment made will receive US visas in about 1 year. From this moment on, they will have the right to live and work anywhere that the US wants. The process continues to process and the physical green card comes out at a later stage. Anyone with a green card, ie a permanent session, can benefit from all social benefits that an American can afford, from health care to retirement, and can enroll in schools and universities in the United States without having to deal with foreign student documents and fees. In addition, those who have a residence permit can apply for American citizenship and have an American passport if they wish, exactly five years after this gradual process.
